The Biomedical Engineering Research & Results Initiative (BERRI) is a contract research organization providing virtual product development with backing from the University of Alberta. The main objective of the project was to facilitate sharing project updates and confidential documents for the participants of various BERRI projects. A publicly accessible site was also needed to showcase the range of BERRI services and provide an easy way for potential clients to take action and contact BERRI.
Axxiem designed and built a secure login area for BERRI clients and staff to access the design, budget, timeline and project documents, as well as view the project updates and announcements posted by content managers. BerriNET was developed to be an extension of the public, front-end website, so there is a consistent look and feel across both systems; each intuitive and useful to its target audience.
